Born and raised in Buckinghamshire, England, I'm married with two teenage sons. Although I've been writing since my early teens, it took a backseat due to the demands of full-time employment and a young family. While my family were small and I didn't have any spare time to devote to my writing, at times it felt like my imagination had been imprisoned. During this period my children and their cousins used to love my silly stories and the daft voices I conjured up when telling these tales. It may be a cliche but I knew that something had to change, I had an itch that needed to be scratched.

Now my boys are older and more independent, I'm able to spend more time writing. The process of inventing the characters was a little daunting at first but soon became a pleasurable experience. After editing and re-editing my book, I distributed it to a carefully chosen audience. This allowed me to obtain real feedback from keen readers, who wouldn't simply say nice things but would be forthright with their responses. Although a little nerve-wracking at times, it was a valuable process which allowed me to make specific subtle changes to further improve my book.

I'm currently chasing every author's dream of getting my book published. No matter how tedious the individual processes became at times, my first manuscript was so much fun to write that I'm busy writing the next.
